FUNNY FOXX FLIES FOR FX
FX is getting back in business with Jamie Foxx, who will produce a sketch comedy pilot for the cable network.
The project reunites Foxx and FX, who most recently teamed on "Redemption," an original dramatic movie that aired on the channel in April with the comedian-actor in the lead role. The untitled half-hour also marks a reunion for Foxx with Marcus King and Bentley Evans, who served as executive producers on The WB sitcom "The Jamie Foxx Show."
"It will be a very edgy, irreverent and sometimes topical sketch show," FX president of entertainment John Landgraf said. "Obviously, Jamie's career as a dramatic actor is meteoric at the moment, but he wants to remain in the comedy business as well."
The show is expected to shoot in L.A. Foxx is expected to appear in the pilot.
