It's bye, bye American squeaky cleanness for Jennifer Love Hewitt, at least for one made-for-TV movie.
The 26-year-old Texas native gets to play a vampish back-stabber this Saturday when "Confession of a Sociopathic Social Climber" is broadcast on Oprah's Oxygen channel. Hewitt describes her role as that of "a monster" in an interview with Scripps Howard News Service, but also allowed that it was not an artistic stretch from her real self, every now and then.

"I loved it," Hewitt said. "I found it really invigorating and different and fun and very much like myself when I'm PMS-ing, so it wasn't that far from who I am."
Hewitt was more candid than many celebs in discussing publicity, whether it's being snapped at a premiere or being selected by Stuff magazine for inclusion in "102 Sexiest Women in the World."
As Hewitt said, "I've been in the magazines for a long time and, to be honest, if I suddenly wasn't in the magazines anymore, I'd wonder what was wrong."

IN OTHER NEWS-
Only two weeks after ABC decided not to move forward on her midseason comedy "In the Game," Jennifer Love Hewitt has found a new pilot home, this time in a CBS drama.
Hewitt will star in CBS' untitled John Gray drama (occasionally known as "Ghost Whisperer"). Based on the psychic work of James Van Praagh, the "Medium"-esque drama will star Hewitt as a newlywed who talks to dead people. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the addition of Hewitt lifts the cast contingency on the project, which comes from Touchstone TV, also the home of "In the Game," a comedy ABC developed for last fall, reshot for midseason and then ditched at the beginning of February. Still probably best known for her run on FOX's "Party of Five" and its short-lived spin-off "Time of Your Life," - AP - Art News Network |
