BONDAGE BY THE BAY

Tampa Bay, Florida recently hosted the 2005 Fetishcon. The Fetish and Bondage Conference attracted some of the top players in BDSM including the nations top fetish models for a weeklong series of seminars, workshops and live demonstrations.
Top models such as Eden Wells and Jenni Lee signed photographs and promoted their DVD's while vendors hawked leather and metal bondage hardware to anyone who would stand in front of them long enough.
The convention room was busy and some areas appeared like mini concert halls
with people standing on their toes to get a peak at what was going on. Seminars
and demonstrations with names like PVC Tape Mummification, Electrical Play and
Exploring Femdom Hypnosis were scheduled throughout the day.
We attended
the mummification seminar where a model was covered in red PVC tape from head to
toe. A small opening allowed a ribbed breathing tube to hang down from her face
making the subject appear like a baby red elephant. I kept telling myself, keep
an open mind, keep an open mind.
Another demonstration, that drew a large
crowd, was something called chains and bondage. The show was standing room only.
The master had three women chained and gagged on the floor while chaining a
fourth. The audience consisted of couples young and old including many single
women and some men. They seemed to be interested and asked questions like, how
do you know your not cutting off your partner's circulation? The master, an
obvious expert, went into details about the anatomy and finally concluded that
if your partner can't feel their fingers your probably tying them too
tight.
Marquis De Sade Furniture had a large display showroom. At
first glance the novice would not be able to discern the use of some of their
furniture. But thanks to Jerry and several volunteers, models were bent,
stretched and spanked over the furniture to help us understand its use. Our crew
and about a dozen others enjoyed the demonstration but I couldn't help think,
what ever happened to spanking your lover the old fashion way, over the kitchen

Intersec
Interactive sponsored a booth from which they raffled several bondage slaves to
the audience. With their enclosed booth dressed in old fashion dungeon, several
semi-nude female slaves were chained while acts of sadomasochism were performed
on them. The show combined beauty and form with various acts of submission and
punishment. The audience was mesmerized. Passageways to neighboring booths were
completely obstructed while spectators, including vendors, gawked at the show
for an extended period of time.
Fetish Con 2005 was a blast to attend.
According to Infinity Multimedia, Fetishism and Bondage is a growing cultural
movement. The hot models and sexy outfits were a treat to view and the
demonstrations were interesting to say the least.
Judging by the wide
demographic group represented at the conference and it's obvious popularity,
Middle America may be chaining their lovers to bedposts more than we would like
